Andrea Orlandi Stabilin (born 03-08-84) is a Spanish football Midfielder.
Andrea Orlandi Stabilin is a highly-rated and versatile 23-year-old Midfielder. The Spaniard's natural position is on the left hand side of the pitch. His versatility has been shown already in his short career ; Orlandi is more suited to left midfield but has played in a competitive game at LB for Barcelona in La Liga. The Barcelona born product slotted in at Left Back against Athletic Bilbao on the 20th May 2006 . He can also play as a striker and has a deft cross in his armoury.
Despite being owned by Deportivo Alavés the Estadio Mendizorrotza based outfit sent him out on loan to FC Barcelona.
He had made 66 appearances for Barcelona 'B' at his time at the Mini Estadi. Frank Rijkaard was impressed with the 23 year old and called him up to the first team. He has participated in the Copa Catalunya for FC Barcelona albeit in a weakened FC Barcelona side. He massively impressed in that game with assists for both of Barcelona's 2 goals in their Copa Catalunya win.
The Spaniard has also has had a spell with Greek Super League side Aris Saloniki.
Orlandi has been a long term transfer target of Swansea City Manager Roberto Martínez. It was announced on transfer deadline day that the Spaniard had moved from Deportivo Alavés on a free transfer to South Wales.
Orlandi can play anywhere down the left or up front, and has signed a one-year deal at the Liberty Stadium with an option to extend his stay.
