Aloma Wright (b. March 10, 1950) is an American actress, mostly known as Laverne Roberts on Scrubs. She returned in season seven playing a new character, Nurse Shirley. Initial reports that her character would be the alcoholic, irreligious sister of Laverne turned out to be inaccurate. [1]
She has appeared in other sitcoms such as Malcolm in the Middle, Frasier, Power Rangers in Space, the short-lived series Medical Investigation as well as the TV movie When Billie Beat Bobby and the 2000 drama Shadow Hours.
She also appeared in the film Mr. Deeds, as well as the deleted scenes for the film Thank You for Smoking, in which she portrays a secretary. She also appeared in the TV movie Ben 10: Race Against Time.
