Alfa Cable is a cable television company in Tirana, Albania.
It offers many popular international channels from Western Europe and the Balkan. Of the channels it offers, more popular ones are: Sky Cinema 1, Italia 1, Canale 5, Rette 4, Discovery Channel, Discovery Civilisation, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, National Geographic, MTV, Vh1, MCM, RTL, DSF, Romantica, Pink, ESPN Classic, EuroSport, MEGA, ANT1, FOXlife, Fashion TV, Cartoon Network, EuroNews.
The company does not offer translation into Albanian.
The monthly rate for cable is 700 Lek/month - about 7$ (although on their website they state 5 Euro/month).
In 2006, Alfa Cable started to offer cable Internet and VoIP telephony. The monthly rate for internet is 19 Euro and 6 Euro for the VoIP telephony; however, you need to pay for the TV services too. An interesting fact is that all the internet subscribers have the same IP to the outside world.
