Aces and Eights or The Dead man's hand is one of the most famous poker hands in history. That is pretty much irrelevant history, but it is the reason I chose this particular name. Included is random information about me, that you may or may not find interesting.

[edit] Education
My degree is in Linguistics from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. The degree is broad in scope, but I spent most of my time on Syntax and Sociolinguistics. I studied abroad twice, once in Canada and once in France and enjoyed it very much. While not a formal part of my degree, I spent most of my remaining electives on history. My history area of interest is the rise of Rome.
[edit] Career
I'm an indentured servant of the Intelligence Community, United States Air Force style. In my past life (that is, before graduation) I had numerous jobs of interest. I served as tech geek for Asa Hutchinson's campaign for US Congress, I did volunteer work with John Boozman's congressional office, and I worked as an online Community Manager for AOL prior to their December 04 realignment of the company.
[edit] Hobbies and Interest
If you didn't guess from my name, I like Card Games (casino card games). However, as you may not have guess from my name, my game of choice is Blackjack, not Poker. I am a certified Blackjack dealer and am working on my poker certificate.
I also keep pet fish, Black Fin Sharks to be more specific. I currently have three: VX, TaNu and BlackDeath the Plague Bringer. The third's name is a lot longer than the others, and is called simply BlackDeath for short.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. --The Litany against fear, From Dune (novel)
A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver five minutes longer. --Ralph Waldo Emerson
