“穿靴子的猫”是一个欧洲童话，由查尔斯·贝洛在1697年以“精明的猫”(The Master Cat) 的标题收录到他的 Contes de ma mère l'Oye (《鹅妈妈的童谣》)。早在 1634年，Giambattista Basile 也收录为“Gagliuso”，又译作“Pippo”。Joseph Jacobs 收录了一个变化版本，“凯特巴拉伯爵”，在《欧洲民间传说和童话故事》。
