From the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can change
The Lhasa Apso is a small breed of dog. It originated in Lhasa, Tibet, which it is named after. Male Lhasas generally weigh about 14 to 18 pounds, and female Lhasas weigh 12 to 14 pounds. Lhasas have a thick coat because they were bred in Tibet, which is very cold. Their fur comes in many different colors, and they usually have dark brown eyes and a black nose. Lhasas generally live long lives, with some living into their twenties. Lhasa Apso's do tend to develop some sort of arthritis in their legs, this is due to the fact they are rather bouncy dogs. as they grow older they will weaken in thier legs and will not be able to jump as high as they would. so in order to help them grow healthy give them regular check ups and also lead them a healthy lifestyle.
