Daisuke Shimizu

Daisuke Shimizu (清水大輔, Shimizu Daisuke ; 1980) is een Japans componist en saxofonist.

Shimizu studeerde aan het College Academia Musicae onder andere bij Yosihumi Fujiwara (compositie), bij Taro Makoto Fukumoto (saxofoon) en speelde in het Academia Musicae Wind Orchestra. In 2002 is hij afgestudeerd.

Als componist schrijft hij vooral voor harmonieorkest en blazers. Shimizu is een veel gevraagd jurylid op wedstrijden voor harmonieorkesten.
