[edit] About Igbo
Igbo is a language spoken by the third largest ethnic group in the West African nation of Nigeria, the Igbo. The Igbo originated in the southeastern region of Nigeria. Almost all Igbo speakers and writers are fluent in English because of its status as Nigeria's official language. Most Igbo speakers also have a knowledge of Nigerian Pidgin English.
The Igbos inhabit the eastern states of Abia State, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states. They are also found in large numbers in Delta State, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom states.
