Zeyn Alabidyn S-Latef (born 22 July 1990 in Helsingborg, Sweden) is a Polish footballer who plays for Sheffield United in the English Football League Championship and the Poland u-19 National Football Team. Although born in Sweden Zeyn is half Polish on his mother side, and half Iraqi through his fathers side. He has dual nationality and could have chosen to play for either Sweden or Poland.
He rejected offers to play for the Swedish junior team and decided to play for Poland. In his debut for the Polish under-19 team he scored a hat-trick in a 8-0 victory over Lithuania. He started his career in the youth team of the Swedish side Helsingborgs IF. In late 2007 he signed a 3 and a half year deal with the English side Sheffield United. Henrik Larsson describes him as the 'Polish Zidane'.[1]
