[edit] 4 years with no edits?

How did that happen? A talk page with a welcome message from maveric149 is very rare these days. You could sell it on eBay for a hefty sum. :) — BRIAN0918 • 2006-06-20 02:43

[edit] Boyle Roche passed as GA

I have completed my review of Boyle Roche and passed it as a Good Article. Congratulations! This is a fine piece of work, and it's been a pleasure working with you to fix the last 1% or so to bring it to this status. Choess 01:36, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] link to British

Hello, when you want to link to the article about something British, please do not link to British, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as United Kingdom or Great Britain by writing out [[United Kingdom|British]] or [[Great Britain|British]]. [edit] Maps and assessment

Sure, I can do some maps for 104B and 481 (that is, once the Maps task force settles on a proposal). Once the proposal's set, those maps'll be my first priority. (BTW, if you'd like to take a look at and/or comment on the proposals, check this page out. Any and all input is welcome.)

As for NY 104B, I juggled for a minute or so on whether to make 104B start-class or B-class. I think what caused me to rate it start-class was the short route description. I see your point completely - it's a very short road in the relative middle of nowhere, so writing about the road would be difficult. Still, if a couple more lines of description were added to the route description (maybe the names/numbers of the county roads it passes, general progression direction (north-south, etc), for example), I'd probably be inclined to upgrade the article to B-class. Regards, TMF T - C 04:37, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I'm an editor, and I work primarily on Pennsylvania state routes. I took a look at NY 104B, and left a comment here. --myselfalso 12:10, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Robber Baron

According to the FTC John Mackey is a trust-creating robber barron http://www.wholefoods.com/blogs/jm/archives/2007/06/

Well I do think we need to include modern RBs in the list, although this term was frequently used in the 1800s, it is important to note RBs can certainly exist in any time. In fact, I would argue that The term may now be used in relation to any businessman or banker pursuing various allegedly anti-competitive or unfair business practices. But you are certainly right that we shouldn't only include one modern person in the list.

As to the libal issue, including Mackey (or anyone else) would carry no more legal liablity than if I created a list of assholes and threw a bunch of names on it, as these are often subjective terms rather than objective and false facts. Mackey is pursuing various anti-competitive & unfair business practices according to the FTC. (of course so are many others, and I have no objection to including mulitiple modern day RBs). XM 16:22, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Haven't heard back from you. Added J. Mackey back to the list. If you come up with some more modern day robber barons, please feel free to add them so JM isn't the only one on the list. XM 18:24, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

I think it's contrary to the spirit of the article, which is clearly historical, but I'm not going to get into an edit war over it with you. --ubiquity 22:21, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

That's cool, I'll just leave it off. No biggie.XM 15:36, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] British Columbia

OK. I tries again. Thank you for your patience, and little tutorial, it is appreciated. I used new quotes from songs this time, as they actually mention BC or a place name of BC in them so it seems to better comply. I couldn't find a template to use that had notes very well, so just indented it in. I could only find the place name of New York City, which I combined with your notes. There were not too, too many places on wikiquote as theme pages. I found that interesting. I will have to see what the other Canadian portals link to on wikiquote. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 02:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)SriMesh | talk 03:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Me again. This quote - I didn't add it. ...The coast of British Columbia was one of the three chief centers of aboriginal America.... About BC, but of no interest as a quote. It's just a fact. SriMesh | talk 03:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
The Blackberry quote is probably border line also. i added a note, about why it was added. SriMesh | talk 03:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
