Suining

Suining (simplified Chinese: 遂宁; traditional Chinese: 遂寧; pinyin: Sùiníng; Wade-Giles: Sui-ning, should be pronounced as Template:P=Xùníng) is a prefecture-level city within mountainuous Sichuan province in the South of China. Suining had 266,100 residents in 2001. Lanjiang is a suburb of Suining.
Chuanshan District, Anju District, Shehong, Pengxi, and Daying are districts (urban) and counties within the city. Most of these are overwhelmingly rural in character. Within several counties are petroleum, gas and salt resources.

Chen Zi'ang, Tang dynasty poet (661-702), was a native of the Suining area.
