This entry is basically an alternative statement of things that are already on the wiki. See subclasses and superclasses or inheritance in object-oriented programming.
Perhaps this page should be deleted and redirected to one of those? (But which one?) I feel there should be an entry for subclass (computer science) that explains what it means, but if you want to kill this page off to clean up the wiki, please do!
