Hello and welcome to my user-page! My username does not come from Stax, but from Stax, and my real name is James Ringold. I live in New Haven, Connecticut and off at college I live in Storrs, Connecticut. I joined Wikipedia as a senior at Hopkins School and became an admin in early June 2006. I am interested in fencing, Magic: The Gathering, computers, Stargate SG-1, anime, and other things that will ensure I don't speak to a conscious human female for several years. I am also fervently convinced that the television show Firefly had roots in the anime Outlaw Star. I love Ulysses S. Grant and Wesley Clark. I'm particularly proud of my work on pages for Presidents of the Senate pro tem, especially here. I'm trying to remain an active Wikipedian!
I was rejected under early decision from Vassar College but then was accepted at all five schools I applied to under regular decision - University of Connecticut, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Case Western Reserve University, Skidmore College, and Carnegie Mellon University. UConn offered me a spot in their honors program, a moderate merit scholarship, and obviously the in-state resident discount for a state university. Because of all of this (and UConn being a generally good school) I decided to attend UConn in the class of 2010. I'm now also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta.
