Stanley Cooperman

Stanley Cooperman (1929-1976) was a New York City-born poet. Among his books are Cannibals and among his poems are "Masada". Cooperman was a co-signatory to the 1968 manifesto "Poet Power."

Michael Turner, a Vancouver writer and musician, has claimed that Cooperman had committed suicide in Vancouver, Canada by jumping off the Second Narrows Bridge. Another theory was proposed by an anonymous Wikipedia contributor - to the point that Cooperman committed suicide in his home with a revolver. Unfortunately, neither claim has been substantiated, as very little information is available on Cooperman.
