I'm changing: "giving Genesis their second hit" to: "giving Genesis their third hit" as "Your Own Special Way" was a hit, albeit not a very big one. Yours pedantically, --Cal42 18:14, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how useful this is. By saying this was their third hit you inevitably have to name the first two, unless the article is part of a series of hits. For instance if you said that Trespass is their second album, you wouldn't have to name the first album because there's a link to it in the category box. Is there a page of "Genesis hits" to link to? What is considered to be a "hit" and what is not? JamminBen 03:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Was Match actually a "hit"? I guess the first two were I Know What I Like and Your Own Special Way, but neither song was much of a "hit"... their first true "hit" was Folow You Follow Me. IKWIL and YOSW were singles, but not really hits. Genesis released a lot of singles before FYFM, but none of them made much of an impact and the band was strictly an album-oriented group until the 80s. Match was not the third single - they had released a lot of singles by that point. Scott1329m 11:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, how about ditching the " giving Genesis their x hit" altogether? It was a top twenty hit in the UK, same as IKWIL if I remember correctly. Your Own Special Way placed about number 43 or something, but still technically a hit. Might be best just to remove that bit unless someone wants to set up a page for the other singles? - Works for me. JamminBen 11:28, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
