[edit] AMP Winter Classic
At a glance, it looks like you have all of the major information there. I will take a more thorough look when I get home from work and give you some feedback. Good job! Resolute 22:48, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit Summaries
Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.
- Umm... OK? Thanks? Skudrafan1 (talk) 03:06, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "Diacritics are not to be shown in NHL-related articles"
I find it strange that there is a policy that diacritics are not to be shown in NHL-related articles when they're fine literally everywhere else. What's so special about the NHL? JIP | Talk 12:16, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re:Minor league hockey categories
Oy... I picked a bad week to start looking over the category trees. It seems you did discover a bit of a mess. I can see the Tulsa Oilers (1964-1984) and Tulsa Oilers (1992-present) categories, as they represent two separate franchises. (and, ideally, I'd like to see that article split up as well, but that is an entirely different debate.) The Tulsa Oilers (CHL) category is completely redundant though. At first glance, most entries look like they belong in the 1964-1984 category, but I suspect we will have to look the entries over to be sure.
The Kalamazoo one looks even worse. It looks like the team just shifted names... so both Category:Kalamazoo Wings (1974-1995) players and Category:Michigan K-Wings players are redundant to Category:Kalamazoo Wings (1974-2000) players. I would probably vote to merge and delete the prior two categories into the latter, and also move Kalamazoo Wings (IHL) to Kalamazoo Wings (1974-2000) since the league's name change renders the (IHL) disambiguation confusing. I can certainly set up the WP:CFD nominations if you like. I've only nominated about 50 categories for renaming in the last two days, what's a few more, eh? ;o) Resolute 17:58, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- ok, I'll set up the Kalamazoo one. When you are done de-populating the Tulsa Oilers category, the easiest solution from there is probably to wait for days than tag it for speedy deletion as {{Db-catempty}}. Or just let me know, and I'll delete it outright. Resolute 18:07, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Nominated for merger to clean the Kalamazoo Wings categories up. Resolute 18:46, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WP:LOTD
Congratulations on your recent WP:FL promotion. You may be interested in participating the the selection of lists of the day and a list of the month for March or nominating lists for April.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 18:22, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Jim Howard
Thanks, I was frantically trying to find a Wikipedia link for him for my Wikinews article. After seeing nothing on the James Howard page, and nothing on the Jim Howard page, I thought there wasn't an article. (→Zachary) 06:15, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of Tampa Bay Lightning players
I just went back to List of Tampa Bay Lightning players after leaving it for the better part of a month in order to nominate it to be an FL. Noticed that you had done a lot of work fixing my many mistakes that I carelessly made. Just wanted to let you know that it is now an FL candidate, and if you wouldn't mind going through it and giving some comments, as well as a general thanks for correcting everything I missed. Kaiser matias (talk) 22:54, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- To be honest, I did notice that all the redlinks were gone. Just it's been so long and I couldn't remember not doing them, so I actually thought I did. So praise definetly goes towards doing that monumental task. If memory serves, there were quite a few on the list that needed to be done. Kaiser matias (talk) 01:37, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Montreal Canadiens players
I found all four of those players at the Montreal Canadiens all-time roster page. In addition, I checked LegendsofHockey.net and Total Hockey (edition one) for each player, and all played one game for the club. I know hockeydb.com is usually very reliable, but sometimes they don't have all information (bio being the most missing). And thanks for the congradulations! Patken4 (talk) 19:07, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- I added a reference to the club website, figuring they would be the most reliable. Thanks again! Patken4 (talk) 19:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sabres
Ugh. I didn't see that. Crap. Now they'll probably delete it. I gotta pay attention more. Haha. Thank you though for the compliment Ryan Wolfe (talk) 21:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NY pics
I saw your work on 394 and have a few requests if you have them.
- Chautauqua CR 380 - Anywhere along the route, just something to throw in the article.
- Chautauqua CR 58 - Former NY 424, just need a photo for its location.
If you get the chance to fulfill these, thanks!Mitch32contribs 20:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- As a heads-up, NY 60 is going to be the NYSR AID in about a month or so, so if you could snap some pics for that at some point, that'd be great. Regards, TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 20:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Triple Crown
Thank you for contributions to the project, Great work, especially on List of Buffalo Sabres players - that is a huge list and looks like it took a good deal of effort. May you wear the crowns well. Cirt (talk) 10:37, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Ice Hockey March 2008 Newsletter
edit
WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter Dear Skudrafan1! You are receiving as you are a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey There's been many more new things going on at WP:HOCKEY, and I think this will help you to stay informed. Since the last newsletter sent out in October, there have been many new changes. I'm hoping to make this newsletter a bit more regular; Kaiser matias and Skudrafan1 asked for a new issue a week ago, but sadly, I've been a bit lazy and committed to other things hence this other delay. --Maxim(talk) edit

Task forces By Maxim There was a new taskforce created within the WikiProject to deal with topics related to the Boston Bruins. It was originally founded as a separate WikiProject, but was quickly turned into a taskforce within WikiProject Ice Hockey. The list of participants is located here. Located at WP:BRUINS, the taskforce's goals are to make Boston Bruins and Bobby Orr featured articles. Good luck! edit
New Administrators By Maxim
A previously admin-only feature has been made available for all users. The rollback feature allows a user to quickly revert vandalism with one click. If you wish to have rollback, contact an active admin or post a request to WP:RFR. edit
Featured Topic Drive By Maxim The original featured topic drive, initiated by Scorpion0422, has concluded succesfully. National Hockey League awards is now a featured topic, with 24 articles in total. Of them, 20 are featured lists, one is a featured article, and the other three are trophy articles that were too short to become featured lists. Eight users signed up to help out, shown here. The next Featured Topic hasn't been decided upon, and the ideas and organization for it fell apart. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to share them at WT:HOCKEY. edit

[edit] NY 424
Yeah, big whoops. Any chance you get up 380 to that intersection, it would help tons. Also I have a new request, but it may be too far away. Ripley's Shortman Road. I could really use a pic or two of it. (No thruway pics please - i'm tired of the signs for it).Mitch32contribs 02:41, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Holy cow. Thanks so much man :) - I just have two questions: 1) What road is that from? and 2) Why don't you contribute more by curiousity?Mitch32contribs 19:42, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
