Shri Gurjar kshatriya kadia samaj is one of the Gujarati subcommunities in India. Their traditional occupation is building construction.

Their pioneering ancestor, Shri Vishwakarma , had five sons, Manu, Maya, Tvasta, Shilpi and Vishwajna, called Manu had a son called Lohana, Tvasta's son was Kansara, Vishvajnya's son was Soni and Shilpi's son was Kadiya.
They were skilled artisans and have excelled in erecting many houses, palaces and temples. Maya was a contemporary of Shri Krishna, the king of Dwaraka.
In Saurashtra, the Kadia samaj people are known for their wide ranging traveling to work on various building projects. They were extensively sought during era of Moghuls, Maratha and other rulers for building Mandir and Masjids.

With changing times the castefellas have diversified into hardware business, development of residential enclaves and allied businesses. The Swaminarayan sampraday mainly thrives on the faith of this caste. This cast is growing upper and upper these days especially they have a keen interest in politics. Gujjars those belongs to Lahore are more aggressive and well educationed than others. Today a list of names are in a number of leading fealds who belongs to Gujjarism such as, politics, education, business, etc.
