Shawn James Crable (born December 26, 1984 in Massillon, Ohio) is a linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Crable played college football for the Michigan Wolverines. He was taken in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Crable has immense physical gifts measuring 6'5" weighing over 250 pounds with a sub 4.6 40 time, Crable's tendency to commit stupid penalties lowered his draft stock, most notably his late hit on Troy Smith which ultimately cost Michigan a shot at a National Title.
