[edit] The name
This article was originally Setu samudram. It has been copied to a new article with this name. The use of 'th' for the dental 't', sethu rather than setu, is common among Tamils / southern Indians but is phonetically incorrect for all others. Since this name and usage is not in widespread use apart from the shipping canal project, I propose to change it back. Imc 09:29, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Name
The use of "tha" is the right usage not "ta" as is used by many North Indians. Even in sanskrit there are different letters for Ta and Tha. The word in Sanskrit to represent bridge is "Sethu" not "Setu".
