Talk:Second Burmese War

[edit] Point of View concern
This article seems to be pro-British. According to Burmese accounts, the British undermined Burmese sovereignty in handling the disputes, and hijacked a Burmese ship.
- The article has been reworked to make it reasonably neutral. My true opinion (not in the article) was that this particular war is as indefensable as they come. Lambert effectively was sent out by Dalhouise to start a war and justify an annexation already decided on. The Burmese did everything they could to avoid the war but the British were not interested. You can blame the first Burmese War on the Burmese side, but not this one.
Ok some of the wording sounds childish and too simple in places, I have amended some of the passage and have removed the sentence about anglo-burmese / burmese war
