Scillonian
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Scillonian was a passenger ferry built for the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company in 1925 by the Ailsa Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Troon, Scotland. She was designed to carry 400 passengers and cargo on that companies service from Penzance, in the English county of Cornwall, to the offshore Isles of Scilly.
The first Scillonian has been succeeded on its original route by two later ferries that carry the same name, the Scillonian II and the Scillonian III.
