Saint Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte located in Boone, North Carolina, United States of America. The parish was founded in 1958 and its canonical territory includes all of Watauga County. It is the seat of the Boone Vicariate. The parish has approximately 350 registered families. Father Joseph Mulligan currently serves in the capacity of Pastor. Fr. John Hanic of St. John North Wilkesboro is the vicar forane for the Boone Vicarate.
Worship services, the celebration of the Mass, are in English at 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays (vigil), and 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. Mass is celebrated in Spanish at 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. Weekday liturgy schedules vary.
In addition to the parish church, the parish includes a mission church located in Blowing Rock, NC, Church of the Epiphany Catholic Church. The mission church does not have its own priest and operates seasonally, with Sunday liturgies offered during the summer months.
The parish clergy also serve the sacramental needs of the Appalachian State University Catholic Campus Ministry, a vicarial organization for college students within the parish. The CCM is financially divorced from the parish, however, it is funded by the Diocese of Charlotte.
The parish is noted for its well-developed catechetical programs.
