c. 1855 fighting Walla Walla Indians in the "Oregon War."

1858 went north with cousin William in gold rush at Fraser River

1878 propspecting on the Mackenzie River, crossed Rocky Mountains

1879 built Fort Reliance and employed by Hudson Bay Co.

went with Al Mayo

Satejdenalno (Katherine James McQuesten) born in 1860 at Kokrines to a Koyukon Athabascan mother and Russian father
