Robert William Fisher (born April 13, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York) is a wanted fugitive suspected of murdering his wife and their two children. On June 29, 2002 he was named by the FBI as the 475th fugitive to be placed on the Ten Most Wanted list. [1] He currently remains at large.
Fisher has been selected by America's Most Wanted host John Walsh as the program's Public Enemy Number One.

On April 10, 2001, a Scottsdale, Arizona (USA) residence exploded and burned. The bodies of Mary Fisher and her two children, Robert Jr. (10 yrs) and Brittney (12 yrs), were recovered from the wreckage. The children's throats had been slit and their mother had been shot in the head. It is alleged by the FBI that Fisher caused the fire. Robert William Fisher, Mary's husband and the children's father, became the main suspect in the case.
On July 19, 2001, an Arizona Superior Court state arrest warrant was issued at Phoenix, Arizona, charging Fisher with three counts of first degree murder and one count of arson. Subsequently, Fisher was declared a fugitive, and a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, Phoenix, charging him with unlawful flight. By 2002, he became one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted. Efforts by authorities to locate and arrest him have so far been unsuccessful.
In February 2004, a man who bore a striking resemblance to Robert Fisher was arrested in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Dental records eventually confirmed that the man was not Fisher. The man, who also went by the name Robert, was held by Canadian police for approximately one week until a family member correctly identified the man.
