Richard Gilman

Richard Gilman (April 30, 1923, Brooklyn, New York - October 28, 2006, Kusatsu, Japan) was one of the leading drama and literary critics of the second half of the 20th century. He was a professor at the Yale School of Drama for 31 years and the author of five books of criticism and a memoir.
Gilman died of lung cancer at the age of 83.
