Ramon Margalef Prize in Ecology and Environmental Sciences

The Ramon Margalef Prize in Ecology and Environmental Sciences (Catalan: Premi Ramon Margalef) is a prize awarded annually from 2004 to recognise an exceptional scientific career or discovery in the field of ecology or other environmental science. The award is an honorarium of € 100,000 and a handmade caleidoscope. It is open to ecologists from anywhere in the world. The award is given by the Generalitat de Catalunya in commemoration of Ramon Margalef.
