Quamichan

Quamichan (or Kw’amutsun) is a traditional Nation of the Coast Salish people, commonly referred to by the misnomer Cowichan Indians, or First Nations, of the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, in the area of the city of Duncan, British Columbia. In 1909, there were reported to be 260 people living in the village.
Their elected leadership is the Cowichan Tribes First Nation.
