Talk:Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha

[edit] Prince Kohary
I am not aware of any source for the claim that there ever existed the title Fürst Kohary de Csábrág et Szitnya held by Saxe-Coburgs (see also Talk:House of Koháry). Unfortunately User:Charles, who has repeatedly reinserted this title into the Article recently, did not produce any citation supporting his position, despite several requests of mine. If someone knows about such source (preferably not from Wikipedia), please state it. Regards, Pavel --80.95.254.1 (talk) 14:50, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- The Biographisches Lexikon des Kaisertums Österreich describes Ferdinand's father-in-law as "the first and also last prince of the name Kohary". The article on Ferdinand in the same source states clearly that Ferdinand took the surname Kohary (but there is no mention of the princely title). There are numerous mentions of this family in the Wiener Zeitung; never ever are they given the title "prince of Kohary". They are always referred to merely as princes of Saxe-Coburg or Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Noel S McFerran (talk) 10:19, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
