Tree in the conifers. Its natural habitat is in Chiapas, Mexico and Guatemala. It is known as Chiapas pine, in spanish as Pino de chiapas or Acalocote. Found from 900 up to 1500 m. Pinus chiapensis is a pine native from southern Mexico and neighboring parts of Guatemala. Introduced in Colombia, Brazil, Queensland, Australia and South Africa.
