Peter Kjær (born November 5, 1965 in Fredericia, Denmark) is a former Danish professional football goalkeeper who played most of his club games for Silkeborg IF in the Danish Superliga. He represented the Denmark national football team in four matches, and he was included in the Danish squads for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, Euro 2000 and 2002 FIFA World Cup, even though he spent all three tournaments on the bench.
He started his senior career at Vejle BK in 1983, before moving to Silkeborg IF in 1993. Here he would debut for the Danish national team at a record old age, 35 years old, on April 25, 2001, in the goodbye match of Peter Schmeichel. He had a brief stint in Turkey for Beşiktaş J.K. before ending his career with Scottish club Aberdeen FC in 2003.
Today, Kjær is preview host for Danish Superliga matches at Viasat.
