Pall Corporation NYSE: PLL, formerly Micro Metallic Company, is an East Hills, New York based global business in the diverse field of filtration, separations and purification. Total revenues for fiscal 2006 were $2 billion, with over 11,000 employees and $56.2 million in R&D investment and listed in the S&P 500. Pall's business is being split into two broad business: Life Sciences (c.40%) and Industrial (c.60%). These businesses provide total fluid management products and systems to meet the demanding needs of customers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, transfusion medicine, energy, electronics, municipal and industrial water purification, aerospace, transportation and broad industrial markets. There is currently an audit committee investigation into tax misdeclarations and the company has already lodged over $100,000,000 in back tax with the IRS. The company was founded by David B. Pall in 1946.
