Orita.Sinclair - School of Art and New Media[1] was established in 2003 as the first School in Singapore to offer the Diploma and Advance Diploma in New Media Art. The School also offers the Diploma in Design Communication as well as the Diploma in Electrosonics Art. Orita.Sinclair - School of Art and New Media is Singapore’s premiere school with a strong focus and commitment in educating well-rounded media professionals and artists to commence successful careers in the fields of Graphic Design, Classical Animation, CG Animation,Sound Processing, Video, Web Design and Interactive Media.
With the increasing demand in the world’s market for expertise in media and design, the School of Art and New Media has developed dynamic accelerated programmes to fulfill those needs.
With current concerns for the emergence of New Media and Design, Orita•Sinclair – School of Art & New Media offers its students the opportunity to double major in New Media Art and Design Communication.
The Diplomas and Advance Diploma programmes create the pathways for students who wish to enter the Media Art or Design industry or to further their studies. These courses are also suitable for those who are already in industry who wish to expand their creative abilities.
Orita•Sinclair – School of Art & New Media accepts both international and local students.
Orita.Sinclair's graduates from the Diploma or Advanced Diploma courses may proceed to degree studies from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia or James Cook University, Queensland, Australia.
Orita.Sinclair - School of Art & New Media is registered with the Ministry of Education [2] (MOE) and CaseTrust for Education as well as an industry partner of the Media Development Authority Singapore(MDA)[3]. The School is also registered with Workforce Development Agency (WDA)[4]
Orita.Sinclair School of Art and New Media initiated FrontRoom Gallery, the exhibition space dedicated to showcase works of local and international artists in the areas of New Media, Experimental and Performance Art, Photography and Printing.
The founders of the School are Stephanie Choo and Gradimir Aleksic.
