U Ohn Gyaw was one of the few, unrelated to the millitary, who made it to the post of a minister.
Having been a diplomat thoughout his entire career, he was able to understand and show compassion towards his fellow colleagues, especially those who are not from the army.
He was well loved and respected by his subordinates for his charm. He loved organising in-house parties, inviting all colleagues, and their families, and would gather everyone around to sing and dance.
