The North Texas Journal is a free weekly newspaper distributed around the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma areas. First published in June of 1987, it was the first African-American newspaper in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. While known in the past as an African-American publication, it has recently taken on a more mainstream audience. One main notable feature of The North Texas Journal is its lack of bad news. Along with the good news, the content includes mostly business news and family-oriented articles.
In the beginning of 2006, the publisher, Reginald Blow launched its website, The North Texas Journal Online. [1]
The North Texas Journal is a member of the Southwest Minority Media Group.
