New York State Route 233 is a state highway in New York, running from near the village of Clinton to the city of Rome in Oneida County.
NY 233 begins as Harding Road in Clinton. Its first intersection is with the short NY 412 to the right; to the left is Hamilton College. North of that, NY 233 is Bristol Road as it approaches Westmoreland.
While NY 233 is listed as the Thruway exit 32 highway, its access is through Cider Road. From there, it is Rome-Westmoreland Road. After entering Rome and passing through Stanwix, NY 233 crosses NY 69 East (Lamphear Road), shortly after having split off a three-way concurrency with NY 49/NY 365. NY 233 North overlaps NY 69 North, ending as NY 69 turns left at ramps to the three-way concurrency heading toward downtown. NY 233 may have originally continued on Martin Street, ending at an original routing for NY 26.
