Neutersol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Neutersol is a compound used to produce infertility in the male dog by chemical disruption of the testicle, intended as an alternative to surgical neutering. Neutersol was FDA approved for small puppies in 2003.[1] In 2005 however, Neutersol severed its ties with its marketing partner Addison Biologicals, and production of the drug stopped.[2] Neutersol is expected to be reintroduced into the market by early 2009.
Neutersol is contraindicated in cases of cryptorchidism, pre-existing scrotal dermatitis, testicular diseases and malformations, and drug hypersensitivity on Neutersol components.
