Nelson Chittum

Nelson Boyd Chittum (born March 25, 1933 in Harrisonburg, Virginia) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Saint Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Chittum, who attended Elizabethtown College, signed as an amateur free agent with the Cardinals and made his major league debut with the team on August 1, 1958 versus the Dodgers, pitching three innings and surrendering eight hits. His final game was on May 4, 1960.
