Nathan Jendrick

Nathan Jendrick (born September 23, 1984 in Tacoma, WA) is a U.S. author, fitness writer, and celebrity personal trainer. He is the author of Dunks, Doubles, Doping: How Steroids Are Killing American Athletics among other books and properties. That book, his first, was a finalist in the USA Book News 2006 Sports: Reference category.

Jendrick is a graduate of Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Washington.

He is married to Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in swimming, Megan (Quann) Jendrick. The couple wed in December of 2004 during Jendrick's brief retirement from the sport.

Jendrick created and is host of the Deck Pass Radio Show. The show is the first of its kind for the sport of swimming and has notably celebrated a wide audience. Jendrick, and his business partner, Olympic gold and silver medalist Scott Goldblatt, sold the property (in addition to their www.timedfinals.com property) to Wasserman Media Group, LLC. in 2007, according to SwimmingWorldMagazine.com.

Jendrick's literary properties are represented by Mollie Glick at the prestigious New York-based agency, Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency.

Though not a professional athlete himself, Jendrick appeared on the ESPN Top 10 in 2005 for a 3.5 mile open water swim he and his wife, Megan Jendrick, completed in the name of Junior Achievement charity. The title of the program was Crossing for Kids and was conceived of a route from Bainbridge Island, Washington, to Alki Beach in Seattle, Washington.

On March 30, 2008, it was announced by the New York Daily News that Jendrick is scheduled to co-author "BALCO: The Straight Dope on Barry Bonds, Marion and What We Can Do to Save Sports" with infamous BALCO founder Victor Conte. A release date was given only as "September."
