"Mystery" is a song written and produced by Ronnie James Dio for the heavy metal band Dio. Originally released on 13 July 1984 on the album The Last in Line, it was again released later that year as the third single from the album.
The song was intended as a hit single and has a more pop-oriented sound than the rest of the album.[2] It went on to become one of Dio's biggest hits, reaching the top 20 in Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks,[3] and it became Dio's only single to break the top 40 in the UK.[4]
