Mount Warrigal Public School was established in 1967 in Mount Warrigal, New South Wales, Australia. In addition to its mainstream classes, the school also integrates a two unit Preschool, two I.O. Support classes, an Early Intervention Unit and a community run playgroup. The school's mission statement was initially developed in 1992 and revised in 1996 and 1998 by teachers, parents and student representatives. The development of the school vision/direction model and statement by the whole school community has provided an educational filter through which all school initiatives and actions are screened. It clarifies school purpose and focuses the shared understandings of all stake holders towards whole school improvement and improved learning outcomes for its students.
