"More, More, More" was the signature song of Andrea True, who performed under the name "The Andrea True Connection".

The song was sent to the United States after being recorded in Jamaica; the idea for a single was brought up so True could make profits from a television commercial she was making in Jamaica (an attempted coup in the country hindered the ability for her to get her commercial profits in cash). Buddah Records liked the sound, and originally only released the song to discos in the winter of 1976. The popularity of "More, More, More" was immense. Widespread listener interest convinced Buddah to release the single commercially in the spring. The song rose to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and number five on the UK Singles Chart.

"More, More, More" has been revived in recent years by its usage in television promotional advertisements, such as for American television series Sex and the City. British pop star Samantha Fox covered it in a disco medley on her 1991 album Just One Night.

It was also released as a remixed single by UK girl group Bananarama from their 1993 album Please Yourself. In 1999 Canadian band Len sampled the instrumental break in "More, More, More" and used it as the backdrop for their top-ten single "Steal My Sunshine". British singer Rachel Stevens sang a cover of the song, called "More More More" (without commas) in 2004.

In very recent years, it has been used by British Columbia's grocery store 'Save on Foods' as the theme song in their advertisements of their fiftieth anniversary. As of January 2008, this song has been used to promote Comcast's high speed internet service. It also serves the entrance theme of Larry Sweeney, a character in the Ring of Honor professional wrestling promotion.

[edit] Bananarama version

"More, More, More" was covered by English girl group Bananarama for their album Please Yourself. It was produced by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman (two-thirds of the Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) trio. Their version maintained the disco feel of the original and also incorporated elements of ABBA-like production, as was the case with the entire Please Yourself album. Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward, Stock and Waterman added a second verse to their version of the song which was not present on Andrea True's original.

Bananarama's single version (which was remixed from their album version) climbed to number twenty-four in the UK singles chart. It was their last single to be released by London Records, their label since 1983. The duo would not see another single-release in the UK until "Move in My Direction" in 2005.

Their music video featured them performing the song and dancing (in one of their few unchoreographed videos) in a cabaret-style club with several male dancers backing them up.

[edit] Rachel Stevens version

"More More More" was a 2004 hit for pop star Rachel Stevens. The song was taken from her debut album Funky Dory and was her final release from that album. It sold a total of 68,000 copies, of which 25,600 were in its first week. The Stevens version hit number three in the UK, outpeaking all of the previous versions of the track, and also reached number five in Ireland.
