Mitsumine Castle a certain castle of Japan that was built during the Nanbokucho period of the 14th century (part of the early Muromachi period). Following the war between the Southern and Northern courts, the Mitsumine Castle was put into production as a strong strategic point, in which it would be situated atop Mitsumine Mountain (hence where it received it's name). The production of the castle would take place during the year of 1337 and would be governed over by Wakiya Yoshisuke, under the orders of Nitta Yoshisada, the high ranking head of the Southern Court. The Mitsumine Castle would end up falling into the hands of the Northern Court however. This is through the fact that Miyama Shigeyuki was assigned as the head of the siege of the castle during the year of 1340. This siege ended with the death of Shigeyuki, and the attainment of the castle.
