Mississippi Show Stoppers were a choir, funded by the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, was part of the "Mississippi Renaissance" out of which sprung Lance Bass. Led by Boyce Green, Show Stoppers attracted many musical teens and children. They formed a traveling show choir that performed a variety of shows. Everything from motown to pop, from swing to soul. The shows were compiled of dancing, singing, and speaking.
One reason that the Mississippi Show Stoppers are such a notable group is because of the great talent that has risen from it. Great artists such as Lance Bass, Meredith Edwards, Kelsey Morgan, and Melissa McCraw were all once members of the Mississippi Show Stoppers. Lance Bass went on to become a member of the pop sensation group, Nsync. Merdith Edwards and Kelsey Morgan have gone on to be successful country singers, and Melissa McCraw is a rising folk artist who has gained her fame from the internet.
