Miss New Jersey

The Miss New Jersey competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New Jersey in the Miss America pageant.
When city representatives were common at the national pageant,Bette Cooper as Miss Bertrand Island in 1937.
Two Miss New Jersey winners have gone on to become Miss America titleholders: Bette Cooper (1937) and Suzette Charles (1984).
