Milo is a male name of uncertain origin. It may derive from the Latin Miles, "a soldier". Other possible derivations are from a Germanic word meaning "mild", the Slavonic root milu meaning "merciful", and the Hebrew name Michael meaning "who resembles God".[1] [2]
