Michael Ausley Maddux (born August 27, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio), older brother of Greg Maddux, was a Major League Baseball pitcher. He attended college at the University of Texas at El Paso. He retired from Major League Baseball in 2000, when he started his coaching career being the pitching coach for the Round Rock Express (The AAA team for the Houston Astros). He serves as the pitching coach for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Maddux's career spanned from 1986 to 2000. The journeyman pitcher first played for the Philadelphia Phillies, where in his rookie year he faced and lost his first game against his brother Greg of the Chicago Cubs.
Later in his career he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers (in two stints), the San Diego Padres, the New York Mets, the Boston Red Sox, the Seattle Mariners, the former Montreal Expos, and the Houston Astros.
In 478 career games, mostly working as a relief pitcher, Maddux won 39 games, lost 37 games, pitched 861 and 2/3 innings, and compiled a 4.05 ERA.
