The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association is an athletic conference which competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division III. Member teams are located in the U.S. states of Michigan and Indiana.
Established on March 24, 1888, the conference is the oldest college athletic conference in America. Of the current members, Olivet and Albion were charter members, though Albion is the only school to hold continuous membership. Former members include Michigan State University, then known as Michigan Agricultural College, (1888-1907), Eastern Michigan University, then known as Michigan Normal College, (1892-1926), Hillsdale College (1888-1960), and Defiance College (1997-2000).
