[edit] Day of week
"May begins on a unique day of the week each year. " is untrue. I'm not sure what it means to say, but there are only seven days. They must repeat eventually. Can someone clarify? Tokerboy 00:40 Oct 17, 2002 (UTC)
- Since June, July, etc fall a fixed number of days after May 1, the same is true of those months too. I think any month can start on any day. It's a trivial, pointles statement in my view -- anything about the days months start on can be said at month. I'm removing it form this article at least. -- Tarquin
[edit] Bona Dea and Maia
Why is it|Delirium]] 02:37, May 9, 2004 (UTC)
- Hmm, the articles on Bona Dea and [[Mai more likely that May was named after Bona Dea rather than Maia? The name itself seems pretty clearly to have come from the latter, especially given that it's Maios in Greek. --User:Deliriuma need some reconciliation, as apparently there was a Roman goddess who was called by both, in addition to a Greek Maia who was not called Bona Dea. --Delirium 02:38, May 9, 2004 (UTC)hjhj
