Maryland Route 291 is a state highway in Kent County, Maryland. It runs from an intersection with Maryland Route 20 in Chestertown east to the Delaware border east of the town of Millington, where it continues as Delaware Route 6. The route runs through southern Kent County, paralleling the Chester River to the north. It heads east from Chestertown on Morgnec Road. The road name changes to River Road east of Chestertown. Maryland Route 291 features a brief concurrency with Maryland Route 290 near Chesterville and an interchange with U.S. Route 301 west of Millington. In Millington, the route intersects Maryland Route 313 and then continues east toward Delaware.
