Mark Brewer (Michigan Democrat)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mark Brewer is the Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, chair of the Democratic Party's Association of State Party Chairs[1] and a superdelegate[2]. On May 31, 2008, he proposed that the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee seat the Michigan delegates to the 2008 Democratic Convention, and allocate them according to exit polling. The committee had previously penalized Michigan for holding an early primary by disqualifying the entire Michigan delegation. This early primary had Hillary Clinton, Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel, and uncommitted on the ballot. The other Democratic candidates volunteered to remove their name from Michigan's ballot after Michigan violated Democratic National Committee rules by moving the Michigan primary before February 5th.
